A strategy usually begins as a hypothesis: when a certain condition appears, price tends to behave a certain way. The goal is to turn that observation into a playbook entry with objective rules. A useful playbook defines what must happen before the trade, what triggers entry, where the idea is wrong, and how the trade is managed.

Write the playbook as if someone else had to trade it. Include market, session, timeframe, required context, entry model, stop placement, target logic, no-trade conditions, screenshots, and examples of failed versions. The more specific the playbook, the easier it is to improve.

Do not add size just because a playbook is new and exciting. First collect examples and results. A playbook earns trust through repetition, not confidence. Treat every new strategy like a business process under evaluation.
