Midday often brings lower volume and less directional conviction. After the open has processed major orders, price may rotate, overlap, and produce false breaks. This environment can punish traders who expect every move to trend.
Capital preservation is a valid strategy. During midday chop, reduce size, tighten trade selection, or stop trading until better conditions return. The best trade may be no trade when the market is slow and random.
If you do trade midday, focus on clear extremes, defined risk, and smaller expectations. Avoid entering in the middle of a range where reward is limited and both sides can be trapped.
